ASSOCIATE PASTOR POSITION
Crossroads Christian church is a growing, multisite church family where ministry runs
through the purpose model across 4 congregations. We have a team’s ministry
approach with a devoted and godly pastoral leadership who serve together in discipling
God’s people of all ages and stages. We need to bolster and grow our pastoral team to
deepen and extend the work to meet the many opportunities before us. The need in our
city is great, most souls are in grave peril, and under God we pray we might see many
more won to Christ and steadfast in his merciful call upon their lives.
Associate Pastor Position
This is an opportunity for someone who meets the qualifications for leadership outlined
in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9. We’d love someone who has experience in both
congregational and department leadership who longs to serve in our team environment
where we are committed to all our department areas having growth and health.
Key Responsibilities
This includes but is not limited to:
● Regular preaching and teaching across all Crossroads’ congregations
● Leading, sustaining and growing a focus area across the congregations (e.g. Serve,
Connect, Reach)
● Overseeing and shepherding the above focus area in a particular congregation
that they may grow and mature in Christ
● Training and equipping other team members and leaders across our ministries as
required
Expectations of Personal Godliness
We take personal godliness and joy in Christ seriously and so we would expect the
following: genuine love, commitment and joy in view of our saviour King, commitment
to evangelical reformed theology and practice, willingness to serve and love others
graciously courage to proclaim the Word in season and out of season.
