Hi guys. Group ladies. Welcome to this last Prep Plus podcast. For our Jeremiah series, we've reached the last study, study 11 of Jeremiah. It's been a great series. I hope you found, if you haven't already, then, head off and do your prep for this study, which is a bit of a different one, because we're revisiting, we're going back to the start.

We're going back to chapter one and using it as a way to really kind of pull together the threads and reflect on the whole, series that we've done in all the studies that we've done this term. So how about I pray for our groups, and if you haven't done the prep yet, you can go away and do that.

Mighty God, we just want to, come to you with great thanks for how you have been at work through this whole series of Jeremiah in our groups. Yeah. We can see the ways that people have heard and reflected and even grown. And, Father God, we do pray for this last study, that it would be a really great finisher, that it would be able to pull together, some threads and let, lessons sink even deeper.

And kind of give us a picture of Jeremiah as a whole. And we pray in Jesus name, Amen. So go do that prep if you haven't already. Yeah. This study really does operate as quite a recap study. And so I think my advice, or my thinking would be just take your time with it, make sure that you do the reflection yourself and give people the time to flick through, the booklet to flip through the book of Jeremiah, to be able to come up with some answers.

You might want to do some of these questions in pairs. Even the first one, perhaps, you could even tie them up for that. First question. What has most challenged, surprised, or struck you from the book of Jeremiah? You could even send that out. If you do a text book for your group mates, to kind of say, this is what we're going to be thinking through, why don't you have a think ahead of time, particularly if you've got some people in your group who are really reflective?

Kind of people who take it like to take time to process. Well, it might be good to give them a bit of a heads up that this study is going to be doing a lot of that big thinking, reflecting kind of stuff. And so, yeah, sometimes people just need a bit of extra time to do that.

And often it, you get better reflection when you do take that time. I think it'll be, fascinating in our groups to reread chapter one and just see how it pops up differently for us. So do make sure people have got pens in their hands for that, reading of Jeremiah chapter one. You've got some explore questions which are really zooming in on the Word of God there.

Remember that the Word of God through Jeremiah really operates almost as a character in itself. It's it's powerful. It performs, it achieves, it acts, it plants, it builds, it pulls up, and it gives you a chance to reflect on on the word of God in Jeremiah and also Jeremiah himself. Like, did he, did he do did he how did God sustain him in his task?

Through the book. There's a question there. Question five how it points us to the cross. And I wonder, just kind of the sermons and teaching that we're getting at this stage is really thinking through. We had to go through the rubble to get to the resurrection. He had to go through the cross to get to the victory, have to go through judgement to get to mercy.

And we see that in Jeremiah. And then because there's not these questions really do are going to take some time. So you may want to split people up reflect you could do open prayer for a while from Jeremiah pulling together some of the lessons that they've learned. You could brainstorm it. So maybe just think through ways to help people reflect and pull the threads together.

You could go, and just consider some of the key themes that we've seen in Jeremiah. The judgement of God, the mercy of God, the kind of suffering servant, ideas, the power of the word of God. Those are some of the key themes that we've been watching. So you might want to pull together some threads of that.

And you could even just kind of have make it a bit of a special time, a little bit of a celebration. Maybe you've got nicer food or a longer prayer time. Those kind of things, to help people kind of pull together the threads and celebrate, the growth and learning that you've been able to do this term.

You can also take them up for the next series, which is in Romans. We're looking at Romans 1 to 5. So that will be a great series kicking off, next term or for some groups just before next term starts. So thank you so much for joining us.
